      <image:title>Sunday Nov 2021 (Copy) - An open class; an opportunity to bring some deliciousness to your Sunday. As we approach Winter, we will stoke the fire within and warm the bones through movement medicine and meditation. All levels welcome.</image:title>

You will tap into your own medicine from where you can cultivate self-love and healing. Get cosy, bring a cuppa and let’s nourish ourselves, take respite, and restore the energy; exactly what Sundays are made for! What we will cover: Week 1 - 7th November 2021: We will kick off our Sunday with a gratitude meditation and some delicious movements to encourage the body and heart to feel open and uplifted. Week 2 - 14th November 2021: As the mornings get colder, get cosy and meet me on the mat for some movement to noursish and warm the bones. Week 3 - 21st November 2021: Continuing to warm our cockles, expect cosiness and ease for your Sunday morning with gentle and fluid movement and some grounding meditation. Week 4 - 28th November 2021: Join in for your daily dose of movement medicine. Let’s not complicate things here - ease and simplicity is the way of the heart. Week 5* - 5th December 2021 *this will be an evening class at 7.00pm*: As I will be in Yoga Therapy lectures during the day, I will take this opportunity to offer you a yummy evening class to help close your week. Soothing movements and a guided supine meditation to take you into a restful evening. Week 6 - 12th December 2021: Winter is round the corner and this will be the last class of the year.       <image:caption>A 6 week journey into the traditional Yoga practice as done in India; Hatha Yoga. Although this class is suitable for all levels, this way of practicing has a way of bringing up resistance at one point or another and due to the disciplined nature of a traditional practice, surrender and acceptance are required. This cultivates resilience and presence and all these qualities are ingredients that make for loving and respecting yourself. We then can radiate this outward to others and the world. What you can expect to gain: Do you believe that we are more than just a physical being? Learn the basic concepts of the Yogic energy systems and how they have a part to play in our practice but also in our lives! Gain an understanding of the chakras; what they are, how they can affect us and how to work with them. Learn about the kosher; the layers of existence as observed by Yoga philosophy and their place in physical and spiritual wellbeing. These classes will offer you insight into the energy systems that were regarded in ancient Yoga philosophy, what they are and how we can utilise these concepts to nourish and heal ourselves through movement, sound and meditation. You will be offered journalling points to explore and contemplate the philosophy we cover so, bring a journal and a pen! What we will cover: Bonus Class - 8th January 2021 As we kick off the year with this first class, what better way than to have acceptance as the entry point into our practice and this journey. Meet yourself where you are and from there move onward and upward. Week 1 - 6th November 2021: Opening ceremony, Introduction to the Chakra system and the first two chakras: Root &amp; Sacral. Week 2 - 13th November 2021: Introduction to the third and fourth chakras: Solar Plexus &amp; Heart. Week 3 - 20th November 2021: Introduction to the fifth and sixth chakras: Throat &amp; Third Eye. Week 4 - 27th November 2021: Introduction to seventh and last chakra: the Crown. Integrating our knowledge of the chakra system. This is a gateway into a deeper practice All levels welcome. What you can expect to gain: Learn how to work with your breath for optimum breathing and function of your physiology. Learn the science behind breathing and its potential for healing. By the end of the 6 weeks, you will know how to engage in a breath work &amp; meditation practice that you can pick up anywhere, at any time. These classes follow the initial 6 week Yoga journey of Deep Relaxation. We covered the foundations of the science behind stress and relaxation. Now we move onward and upward by cultivating a deeper connection to our practice by working with the breath and giving more time to meditation. We will, of course, move our bodies too. This class is perfect for your evening wind-down as the nights draw in and will give you the opportunity to connect to a sense of peace. What we will cover: Week 1 - 4th November 2021: Opening ceremony. Breath work 101. Introduction to breath work and why it is important.       <image:title>Water Sundays 2022 - 6 weeks of practice establishing possibly the most important quality of Self-Love. Kindness. That is where it all begins. All levels welcome.</image:title>
      <image:caption>What you can expect to gain: I could talk about kindness but I find this poem by Mary Oliver hits the spot and conveys the essence of why I have chosen this quality as part of our Self-Love journey. Don’t Hesitate If you suddenly and unexpectedly feel joy, don’t hesitate. Give in to it. There are plenty of lives and whole towns destroyed or about to be. We are not wise, and not very often kind. And much can never be redeemed. Still, life has some possibility left. Perhaps this is its way of fighting back, that sometimes something happens better than all the riches or power in the world. It could be anything, but very likely you notice it in the instant when love begins. Anyway, that’s often the case. Anyway, whatever it is, don’t be afraid of its plenty. Joy is not made to be a crumb. What we will cover: BONUS CLASS - 9th January 2022: Opening Ceremony - we will kick off with a gentle class to get the body stretched and released of the tension that has built over the start of the winter. Week 1 - 16th January 2022: Patience! We will start our Sunday with a gratitude meditation and some delicious slow movements to encourage our observations of the level of patience we have with ourselves and the body. Week 2* - 23rd January 2022 - *this class will be at 8.00am* Judgement! Now we are in the depth of winter and grappling with the darkness, the festive season as a distant memory and the way we have turned up for ourselves. Are we going to judge and condemn ourselves or is there a better. kinder and gentler way to be? Let’s move through it together. Week 3 - 30th January 2022: Boundaries! What are they and what do they have to do with kindness. We will explore our own physical boundaries as a metaphor for the boundaries we incorporate in our lives in order to serve us and observe the ones that do not! Week 4 - 6th February 2022: Giving! How can we give without depleting? How can we find the balance of energy exchange? We will explore this in class through movement and meditation. Week 5* - 13th February 2022: Honesty! Where do we compromise our truth and how does that compromise kindness? What do we tell ourselves that results in harshness and criticism? We will explore these notions through a heart opening practice. Week 6 - 20th February 2022: Forgiveness! Winter is very almost over and after reckoning with ourselves during this season of darkness, no doubt there is some forgiveness to be had.       <image:caption>A 6 week journey into the traditional Hatha Yoga practice as done in India, where the only requirement is to meet yourself and accept where you are for each session. All levels welcome. What you can expect to gain: A big part of self-love is acceptance of who you are exactly in each moment. The social conditioning that has been imposed on us feeds us the narrative that we are never enough and that we need to constantly grow and evolve. Really, growth and evolution happens anyway. Without us feeling like we need to or that we are not enough if we do not seek the change. Practicing Yoga in India is really interesting because they do not tip-toe around or fluff things up for you. They have complete acceptance of how they offer their teachings! They shout out the instructions, they do not wait around for you and they tell you majestic myths and stories along with bold claims so matter of factly that you have three options; to disagree and walk out, to blindly accept what they tell you as gospel and follow along OR to meet their way of practicing with awe and take what resonates and serves you in each moment and engage in the practice in a way that suits you. The latter is the art of acceptance with critical thinking. This develops our capacity for tolerance, our endurance and meta-cognition; awareness of our own thoughts. These qualities are so important when cultivating love for ourselves and are what will be developed as a result of this practice. Another element of a traditional Yoga practice is that it rarely changes - the postures are repeated in each session. This provides a framework where we can observe, without judgement and with compassion, the ever-fluctuating landscape of our being against a structure that doesnt much change. Meeting and accepting yourself exactly as you are is a vital component of self-knowledge and self-love. I will not be shouting instructions at you or making any unfounded claims. I will however keep the structure of this traditional practice more or less the same for each session with minimum chit-chat and, in each class we will break down one posture from the sequence to really learn it’s alignment. What we will cover: BONUS CLASS - 8th January 2022: Opening ceremony. Let’s blow off the cobwebs and get our bodies moving today with an uplfiting practice in preparation for the journey ahead. Week 1 - 15th January 2022: Pranayama. Classical Sun Salutations. Hatha Yoga sequence. Week 2* - 22nd January 2022 *this class will be at 8.00am*: As above.
